Aston Martin has announced a slew of updates, including styling tweaks and a new powertrain, for the 2013 DB9 coupe and convertible.

Exterior and interior updates are very subtle but include a revised grille, bolder side strakes and a more pronounced rear trunk ‘flip’ that further enhance the aerodynamic performance of the car. The interior features higher-quality materials and can be had in a two or four-seat configuration.

The 2013 DB9 gets Aston Martin’s new AM11 V12 engine, which employs some of the ‘Gen4′ VH architecture hardware technology used in the Vanquish. The engine produces 510 horsepower (517 PS) and 457 lb-ft. (620 Nm) of torque, which compares favorably to the 470Hp (477 PS) and 442 lb-ft. of the old model.
